Environmental Policy
Sol-Tec gives high priority to the protection of the environment in conducting its activities. We will comply with all relevant legislation and will integrate environmental management into all business processes. We aim to continually improve our environmental performance and to work towards sustainable developments as far as is reasonably possible.
Operational
Sol-Tec Ltd will:
- Ensure that resources are not wasted and that, so far as is reasonably practicable, materials and goods reused or recycled.
- Reduce the generation of wastes so far as is reasonably practicable and dispose of all remaining waste in a responsible manner.
- Identify and evaluate business environmental effects and controls and manage those effects which have been identified as significant.
- Encourage our contractors and suppliers of goods and services to operate in an environmentally responsible manner and support Sol-Tec Ltd’s Environmental Policy commitments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Environmental laws such as the Packaging Waste Regulations (1997) and the WEEE directive.
- Promote energy saving, environmentally friendly technologies such as VMWare.
Measurement and Review
Sol-Tec Ltd will establish and maintain programmes and procedures for periodic Environmental Management System audits to ensure continual improvement of its environmental performance.
The audits will:
- Ensure that environment management systems are successfully implemented and maintained and conform to European standards.
- Provide information on the environmental performance of the business to management.
Communication
Sol-Tec Ltd will:
- Foster open communication with neighbours living and working in areas local to Sol-Tec Ltd facilities and support appropriate environmental initiatives within the community
