Infrastructure Lifecycle Management

Infrastructure Lifecycle Management or ILM helps organisations get the most out of their investment in desktop technology and deliver extensive efficiency and financial benefits to your business. By using Infrastructure Lifecycle Management, you can budget realistically for IT expenditure over a longer period of time, knowing that no unforeseen expenses will arise.

ILM has seven core modules:

Procurement

Desktop equipment will be procured through e-Ware, our online management and procurement tool. Using e-Ware you will be able to order online, check availability, track orders, initiate quotations, return products, log support calls and manage all finances.

Configuration

All desktops are configured to your exact requirements at our logistics centre in Reading. Once imaged and configured, your desktop will be asset labelled and tracked through our asset monitoring application, Pathway.

Delivery

We will arrange delivery of your desktop in a manner that best suits you. We will deliver and set up the system on a pre-defined day, by project or simply on the next day of business.

Implementation

We will be responsible for the installation and configuration of all IT equipment procured through our e-Ware portal.

Disposal

All retired desktops will have their data securely removed and disposed of through an accredited WEE service provider.

Continuous Asset Management

All equipment procured through Sol-Tec’s ILM service will be asset labeled and tracked via Pathway.

Support

Sol-Tec provide an 8 hour fix support service within the ILM service which applies for the entire duration of your contract. If we find it necessary to conduct the repairs offsite, we will deliver a replacement desktop loaded with your ghosted image, available for you to use until the faulty equipment has been repaired and returned.
